let me explain

Starting from the bottom and up.

Survival: First, you have to make a commitment not to try and kill yourself.
Safety/Security: Then, you go out and buy a handgun, and learn how to shoot.
Social (Belonging): Next, you go join a cult, and make damn sure everyone in it loves you. [Remember you have a gun now.]
Ego (Esteem): By now, you should feel rather important, and that you have a mission in life to fulfill.
Self-Actualization: Eventually one day you come to an aburpt moment of epiphany, and realize how much of a fuckin' moron you are, and you take out your handgun, and shoot yourself in the head.
